SUBJECT: Presentation of the list RENOVATIONS Youth Council
On the occasion of 'election for members of the Youth Council of Rieti, give notice of submission of the list Civic Renewal.
Renovations is a list of 20 students between high school students, university students and workers. Renovations are a project born from the desire of kids committed to always and on all fronts in our country: from the political struggles and voluntary student movements Student Insomnia and Beyond, through the commitment to support sport in the curve Terminillo team Basketball City and through all the experiences that the youth right Rieti conceived in recent years. Child was born, that the policy did not discover it today for the first time but they're used to it since high school desks, with the knowledge to live as a mission and a service for all and not as a nice shortcut to get favors and privileges for some.
E 'so that the spirit with which applies on Renovations Rieti represent in this new project of the Youth Council, with the dedication, sacrifice and determination that each candidate has to continue to spend on young people of Rieti and Rieti. Too often we hear criticisms and complaints about our city, on lack of institutions, the closed mentality of Rieti, and too many times we have heard from people who can just run away from Rieti, investing energy and money elsewhere, planning his future elsewhere. And do not come and say it's a necessity! Also among our ranks there are University students forced to "emigrate", but they do know it would build its future in Rieti, maintaining strong ties with the city, trying to create rather than let it fall apart!
Strength of our certainties, therefore we present in this election for more than half in order to make that our peers are rinnamorino of this land and choose to overcome the obvious problems that push us away from our city.
We opted for the civil list because we do not need to resort to political parties, the party machinery or famous names to seek consensus among the boys, the only reality we are really rooted in the territory and we will prove it!
Our list can 'be truly proactive engine of ideas and new initiatives of collective interest and for the development of the City. A city that we notice is one of its biggest problems in the absence of real universities: there is the need for a headquarters and not a thousand branches, but above all there is the need to Rieti in the most attractive option for students. Our handicap is that before trying to get students to come up with the right niche, we need to stem the exodus of students from other universities Reatini, establishing degree programs classics. It 'clear that we do not propose to solve the problem, but because of our advisory role we ensure a fierce pressing on this issue.
Just as we need to rally round the problem of space. Lack of places where students and young workers can spend their free time in a constructive and proactive, places of leisure and free internet access with multimedia tools adapted to the need for the technological society imposes on us. E 'in the absence of these spaces for socialization that are born and develop sores such as drugs, exclusion, violence and crime.
And these are just some of the ideas we have in mind.
We invite all young and less young people to participate in the classroom on Friday afternoon at 17.30 to advise the City to the presentation of our list and the program.
