On March 21, 2007 was a memorable day for the city of Polistena, which has hosted the annual event launched by the association against the mafia don of Free Ciotti. This book is born with the intention of telling the news with images and emotions of that day.
The text begins with a speech written by the young Polistena the edition held in 2006 in Turin, for me, I also followed that event, this was a way to track not only continuity between the two events, but a common thread that runs through the human and civil growth of people, especially children, who live these days.
The first part of my book, entitled Scripta manent, including some highlights of the action March 21, 2007: that of mayor of Polistena, John Laruffa, that of Don Ciotti and the Council's Piedmont Region Angelo Auddino.
The second part of the words give way to images. In 32 pages I have tried to focus all the emotions of the day: the presence of serious national and local civil authorities, the official events, the composure of the relatives of victims of the Mafia, but especially the exuberant optimism of youth, the bright colors of Polistena school children, and why not, the expressions a little 'tense and worried about the children of Polistena of the Hotel, which has been given the task of preparing the refreshments for the authorities. With them I wanted to quit my day Polistena, because the image of young people entering to work with a sense of civic responsibility and one that seemed better than others to express the hope that underlies the day against all mafias.
